Cancer Research Business Awards
Author: DriveWe were delighted to be awarded the ‘Highly Commended’ title for Best Supplier at the prestigious Cancer Research UK Business Awards 2009, an official recognition of our design and production services for the charity’s flagship fundraising events throughout 2008, including such star-studded fundraisers as Ronan Keating’s Emerald & Ivy Ball and the magical Sound and Vision music heritage auction event.
Drive directors Ben Fender and Imogen Hammond were thrilled to receive the accolade in person, presented by TV host Gaby Roslin and Harpal Kumar, CEO of Cancer Research UK, at the iconic Lloyds building in the city of London.
Working with Cancer Research UK has been a fantastic opportunity to align our company with a highly motivated charity who work tirelessly to fund breakthrough scientific research destined to help millions of sufferers and their families worldwide whose lives have been affected by cancer. To receive a commendation for the part we have played in assisting them in their fundraising and publicity endeavours is an honour. We are especially proud of all our creative and dedicated producers for always going the extra mile for this special client.
As long-standing suppliers to CRUK we have worked on numerous high profile events in the charity’s busy fundraising calendar for the past four years. As well as producing the music memorabilia auction Sound & Vision at Abbey Road Studios, which this year featured live sets from music legends such as Paul Weller and the Stereophonics, we have provided technical and show production services for the Bobby Moore Fund Sports Quiz and the Corporate Awards. We’re already looking forward the 2009 Emeralds & Ivy Ball.
Cancer Research UK is very appreciative of the amazing impact that Drive Productions has had in 2008; you’ve really made a massive difference in helping fund our lifesaving research.
