Transforming art, fashion and technology. Making history.

Charm, glamour and sheer luxury are ever present at Polo Ralph Lauren, but Drive Productions helped to bring an extra – fourth – dimension to their flagship stores in London and New York on Wednesday 10 November, celebrating their decade of digital innovation. Crossing continents as pioneers of cutting-edge ‘architectural light-mapping’ technology, our latest work has launched a media sensation, with simultaneous multi-sensory 4D spectacles that stunned hundreds of spectators at the live events themselves and continue to awe the thousands who are now watching online.

Polo Ralph Lauren stores at No. 1 New Bond Street in London and 888 Madison Avenue, New York were magically transformed and reinvented as iconic footage and images from the global retailers’ fashion, home interiors, sportswear and fragrances were weaved into the explosive 4D video-mapped narrative that played out across their facades in what David Lauren calls the “fusion of art, fashion and technology”.

The screenings were the culmination of eight months of work during which over 80 creatives and suppliers came together to devise and produce a visual narrative which incorporated real footage of the products, larger-than-life catwalk models and holographic scenes of the brand’s iconic polo ponies and their striking Polo Ralph Lauren-styled riders.

Drive have been pioneering the use of this 4D Video Mapping technology in the UK and overseas for the last twelve months and envisage that architectural light-mapping will play a leading role in the future of experiential events and advertising. The potential to engage audiences on a sensory level cannot be underestimated.

Enter the world of 4D video mapping now by watching the live screenings of the Polo Ralph Lauren event in London and New York. To watch is to believe.

Autumn – the season to be generous – is upon us and we’re gearing up and going into over-Drive in anticipation of our annual trio of high-profile glam fundraisers for our long-standing client Cancer Research UK.

In November we’ll be making sure that our key annual events – ’8 Rocks’ for the Lawrence Dallaglio Foundation and ‘Viva la Vida’ for the Seve Bellesteros Foundation – are both nights to remember at Battersea Evolution, while Ronan Keating’s ‘Emeralds & Ivy’, raising money for the Marie Keating Foundation, takes pride of place in December at its new home, the Boiler Room, at Battersea Power station.

We’ve just released the showreel celebrating all the events that we’ve designed and produced in conjunction with the CRUK Special Events Team over the years for CRUK and it’s quite a collection. As long-standing suppliers to CRUK we have worked on numerous high profile events in the charity’s busy fundraising calendar for the past five years.  As well as producing the events listed here, Drive Productions also produce the music memorabilia auction Sound & Vision at Abbey Road Studios and provide technical and show production services for the Bobby Moore Fund Sports Quiz – with the 2010 Bobby Moore event coming up, watch this space.
